Each pit has numurous doors that open in different ways to make Jet packing a little interesting, and helps to hide the attack of the aliens untill they are upon the marines. Very fast games, and very entertaining, this map is a good break between offical levels in NS. -How to install- After unzipping the ns_shafted.zip copy or cut the .pts, .bsp, and .txt into you half-life\ns\maps folder Put the .wad file into the "ns" folder with the other wads ++Updates++ This is the Final release of what was NS_shaft, and is now NS_Shafed. There will be other maps released in the near future from Danish Monkey, so check the Forums and downloading sites for other NS maps. ==Fixed in .02 - Final== -roof rails to slow jet packs and lerks in the hive area. -changed the doors timing, and speed to make falling and JP up better, and more fair. -Added semiwalled box around the middle hive, and the marine start. -Lighting around the hives changed a little. -ramps at the 2 outer hives -Overhead blocks above the hives to prevent JP camping over the hives for a fast and easy end to ahive. -changed the lips on the doors to make dropping towers from about a little easier. -Boxes over the res points to slow the marines run for JP. -added ledge above the marine start to allow aliens to ecolve closer to the marine base. -changed the lighting at the marine base and in the pipes. -lowered the ledge so it can be seiged from the marines start. -one less res at the alien and marine spawns. -Marine spawn walls changed a little for more room to work with. -Res nodes placement, number and output. -Shaft doors timing and a few errors with the movement. -Commander View range fixed -Over all gameplay evened. -Thats all folks...
